Evraz Holding Ltd., the sponsor and organizer of a charitable program known as City of Friends – City of Children, provided Meridian (a student technical development club) with a 250,000 RUR grant to buy all the equipment needed to set up a children’s TV program. The television facilities include a video camera, microphones, and a nonlinear editing device, all ordered and delivered from Moscow.
Meridian-based children’s information agency is planning to start working on the pilot program in the nearest future. The program is expected to appear on Channel 10 in Novokuznetsk.
Every monthly program will focus on children presenting themselves, their interests, problems, and views as well as speaking about different aspects of their life. The episodes are to be created by the members of Young Cameraman and Young Reporter clubs and by children attending Meridian’s PR studio and animation movie club. This comes to about 50 children.
The experts of Novokuznetsk Channel 10, who helped the children design the would-be program, keep assisting them in their work.
Evraz Holding financed the project in order to draw a wide audience’s attention to the life of the city’s youngsters and help a group of creative kids and teenagers gain the valuable experience of interacting with the professional reporters, cameramen, directors, and producers, reports the spokesperson for Evraz Holding.
