UrBC, Yekaterinburg, May 14, 2019. EVRAZ Holding, Nizhniy Tagil and Kachkanar Councils, and Sverdlovsk Region Government signed a trilateral socioeconomic cooperation agreement, EVRAZ Holding Ural’s Corporate Communications Center reports.
EVRAZ intends to co-finance the construction of a new bridge across Tagil Pond in Nizhniy Tagil. The company will direct more than RUB 1.3 billion to the project. The holding will also fund a number of other important social infrastructure projects in town (total amount of funding provided: RUB 1.9 billion).
Also, a MMA Palace will get put up in Kachkanar; the company will also work on a series of energy efficiency programs in the area. The allocated funds will get directed to buying equipment for Kachkanar Ore Mining & Processing Enterprise that is necessary to train the highly skilled workers the plant needs (total amount of funding provided: more than RUB 420 million).
The town councils, on their part, will facilitate and support all of the holding’s energy efficiency programs and provide the legal and administrative base for good investment climate and business development in their areas.
‘Once again, EVRAZ is ready to invest in the towns where its member enterprises operate. What matters to us is that our joint efforts result in infrastructure improvements, better education opportunities, and more culture and sports options,’ says EVRAZ Vice President and head of the holding’s Ural division Denis Novozhenov.
