UrBC, Yekaterinburg, January 31, 2020. EVRAZ Holding coordinated a school festival in Nizhniy Tagil and Kachkanar this month. The festival included schoolchildren presenting seventeen social projects aimed at urban improvements and social infrastructure development, EVRAZ Holding Ural’s Corporate Communications Center reports.

‘A series of large-scale events took place in Nizhniy Tagil and Kachkanar, bringing together over a thousand schoolchildren, teachers, local businesspeople, town council officials, EVRAZ employees, and Social Investment Fund representatives. The young festival participants organized a number of interactive sites, presented their projects, coordinated some workshops and quizzes for the visitors, sang songs and played the guitar, held a face paining session, and organized some flash mobs. Every team prepared a special performance and received souvenirs and thank-you letters,’ the company says.

‘The company runs quite a few social projects in the towns where it operates; EVRAZ for Children is one of the most important programs of the kind. It matters that children growing up in our supported towns in the Urals and Siberia remain socially proactive. We help them implement their initiatives and show how this can be done,’ says Head of EVRAZ CSR division Andrei Klimenko.
