ChelPipe Group, ROSNANO Develop Professional Standards

30 November 2018 (09:30)

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, November 30, 2018. ChelPipe Group and ROSNANO’s Infrastructure & Education Programs Fund worked together to develop professional standards for the people involved in design and engineering support of nano-modified steel pipe production, the Group’s press service reports.

The standards that set out the professional requirements for this branch of industry have been adopted by Russia’s Labor & Social Welfare Ministry. The new professional standards are applicable to employees of all Russian pipe manufacturers that deal in hi tech produce.

The professional standards describe the skills necessary for the design, testing, and engineering support of piping produce made from nano-modified steel. The standards also dwell on the functions these workers need to perform and on the practical and theoretical expertise they need to have. The goal is to make sure companies hire new workers more efficiently and help these companies design their training programs and qualification tests.

‘ChelPipe Group is a dynamically growing company that can provide a perfect platform for professional standard development. Pipe manufacturers currently have to rely on our United Job Evaluation Manual that actually describes already-extinct jobs and fails to mention the ones that came into being only recently. I’m positive the new professional standards will ensure a unified approach to personnel hiring and appraisal; I’m also sure our fellow industrial companies will be using them as well,’ says ChelPipe Group’s Organizational Development & HR Director Oksana Tikhonova.
