ChelPipe Group Holds 4th WorldSkills Championship

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, July 5, 2019. ChelPipe Group’s employees, students on the Group’s Future of White-Coated Metallurgy Corporate Training Program, and students on the Group’s Tatarstan College of the Future Corporate Training Program are all taking part in ChelPipe Group’s corporate round of the WorldSkills Championship; the competition takes place at the Group’s Training Center in Pervouralsk.

According to the company’s press service, the thirty contestants represent ChelPipe Group’s pipe manufacturing division and Rimera Oilfield Services division (Alnas, Izhneftemash, Chelyabinsk Pipe Rolling Plant, and Pervouralsk New Pipe Plant).

During the three days of the championship, young professionals in the 18-28 age group will have to demonstrate their expertise in seven categories: Prototype Design; Industrial Mechanics & Assembly; Reverse Engineering; Welding Technologies; Robotized Welding; and Wiring. All the challenges presented in the contest have been designed in full compliance with the WorldSkills international standards.

‘ChelPipe Group’s corporate championship presents new opportunities for professional and personal growth and development and for sharing one’s experience with the co-workers. We focus on contest categories that are both relevant to our specific production needs and needed universally on the global market. The winners will go on to represent the Group at the national round of the championship,’ says HR Director at ChelPipe Group’s pipe manufacturing/oilfield services division Alexander Luzhbin.

The 6th National WorldSkills Hi Tech Championship will be held in Yekaterinburg in October 2019.
