UrBC, Yekaterinburg, November 14, 2018. Chelyabinsk Pipe Rolling Plant (ChelPipe) recently hosted Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK) and ChelPipe Group’s 23d Coordination Council session on strategic cooperation. The session was attended by workers from the two companies’ sales, finance, production, tech, and logistics departments, ChelPipe Group’s press service reports.

The two parties looked into their performance over the course of last year and made plans for the coming one.

‘MMK is our long-term, reliable metal supplier that handles around 50% of our steel sheet orders and more than 70% of our coil stock orders. This is why we see collaboration with our strategic partner as essential. The pipe manufacturers and the metal goods manufacturers working together, the constructive dialogue, the regular meetings and Coordination Council sessions help us identify problems and react promptly to the demands of our key customers in the oil and gas industry,’ says ChelPipe Group’s Deputy Director-General for Strategic Cooperation Alexander Golodyagin.

‘MMK and ChelPipe Group’s partnership helps both our companies — the Urals’ leading real sector enterprises - work more efficiently. What is more, our collaboration, which is highly focused on product quality issues, means we can provide our customers, major Russian businesses, with the best quality produce. The importance of our cooperation to the Urals in particular and to the Russian economy in general can hardly be overestimated. The standards are set very high for the entire production chain — and our job is to meet these standards,’ says MMK Deputy Director-General for Sales Nikolay Lyadov.
