UrBC, Magnitogorsk, January 25, 2018. Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK) is currently coordinating its local section of inter-company experience-sharing workshop for job safety and industrial safety experts and managers, MMK Information, PR & Advertising Department reports.

‘In addition to MMK experts, the workshop will also be attended by professionals from Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Works, Novolipetsk Metallurgical Works, Nizhniy Tagil Integrated Metallurgical Works, Severstal, Metalloinvest, and Russia’s other leading metallurgical enterprises - around sixty managers and job safety experts from nearly twenty national and international companies (the international one being ArcelorMittal Temirtau). Rostechnadzor, Russia’s Ore Mining Trade Union, and Chermet Corporation, which all usually support workshops like this, will also send in their representatives,’ the Department says.

Prior to Magnitogorsk section of the workshop, the event participants also took part in sessions in Chelyabinsk, where they learned about Chelyabinsk Pipe Rolling Plant’s job safety system.

‘The two-day Magnitogorsk section covers the usual reports and Q&A as well as a tour of MMK’s production sites and a visit to Safety School (a unique training range that was recently launched at the plant),’ MMK says.
