MMK Hosts Coke & By-Product Process Workshop

UrBC, Magnitogorsk, July 30, 2019. Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK) is currently hosting an experience-sharing workshop for the coke and by-product process department workers from Russia’s metallurgical enterprises, MMK’s Information & PR Department reports.
MMK’s Coke & By-Product Process Department is now open to forty-one delegates from nine Russian companies: Severstal, Novolipetsk Steel (NLMK), Altai-Koks, West-Siberian Metal Plant (EVRAZ ZSMK), Nizhny Tagil Integrated Metallurgical Plant (EVRAZ NTMK), Koks, Mechel-Koks, Ural Steel, and Gubakhinskiy Koks.
The workshop program covers presentation, discussion forums, talks on improvements in the field of coke and by-product process technologies, and guided tours of the coke and by-product process production sites at MMK. The workshop participants will be able to talk over relevant issues and exchange their opinions.
There will also be a tour of MMK-supported Abzakovo Ski Resort.
The inter-plant workshops have been held, with support from Chermet Corporation, since the year 2000.
