UrBC, Yekaterinburg, July 28, 2017. Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK) is to host the local round of a production experience-sharing workshop for metallurgical industry workers on July 27, MMK Information & PR Administration reports.
This is the second and final round of the workshop; the first one was held at EVRAZ Holding’s Nizhniy Tagil Integrated Metallurgical Works on July 24-25.
Over twenty managers and employees from the Energy Departments of Severstal, Novolipetsk Integrated Metallurgical Works, Nizhniy Tagil Integrated Metallurgical Works, Tulachermet, and NLMK Kaluga will contribute to the Magnitogorsk round of the workshop.
‘This two-day event will cover a tour of MMK’s power facilities and of the plant’s various energy departments and sites, as well as reports, discussions, and mutual sharing of people’s experience in the field of operating power facilities at a metallurgical plant,’ the Administration says.
These workshops are held on a quarterly basis, so this is, in fact, the 91st time one is organized at the plant. Every workshop gets dedicated to a specific work aspect and comprises several stages, with each stage held at a different participating plant. This is a platform for sharing experience and coming up with guidelines on production process improvements.
