UrBC, Yekaterinburg, September 7, 2017. Russia’s Vice Premier Vitaly Mutko paid a visit to Yekaterinburg Arena on September 5, 2017; the stadium is being reconstructed by Sinara Group’s Sinara Development, the Group’s press service reports.

Acting Governor of Sverdlovsk Region Evgeny Kuivashev, Head of Yekaterinburg Council Alexander Yakob, and Sinara Group Chair of the BOD Dmitri Pumpyanski all accompanied the official on his visit.

‘Sinara Group’s Director-General Mikhail Khodorovsky said in his report to the Vice Premier that all the jobs were completed in time or ahead of schedule. The stadium is 87% ready at the moment. All the permanent spectator stands are finished, the temporary stands are being worked on, and the rooms under the stands are getting their finishing touches. The roof is ready, so the remaining tasks are to restore the original facades, introduce outdoor lighting, and complete the assembly of engineering infrastructure,’ the press service says.

Vitaly Mutko took a look at the historical facade and checked the football pitch, where the lawn already gets occasional mows and gets sewn through with synthetic threads; he also went to the press center, the locker rooms, the showers, and the warm-up gym and took the elevator to the skybox, one of the VIP locations.

The official said the new, renovated stadium in downtown Yekaterinburg will come to be one of the city’s beautiful landmarks.
