Uralcryomash gets its tank car certified

September 18, 2014. Uralcryomash (a member enterprise of Uralvagonzavod Corporation) obtained a compliance certificate for its 15558C04 tank car meant for transportation and storage of liquid oxygen, nitrogen, and argon.

The corporation’s press service says twenty such tank cars will be manufactured and delivered to Vostochny space airfield under the contract with Roscosmos. The first set of ten units will be shipped to customers by November 30, 2014. The second set is expected to be shipped in the first half of 2015.

Uralcryomash is currently working on two large government contracts, and getting this kind of contracts is very significant for and valuable to the enterprise. Products for the two contracts make up 25% to 30% of the company’s production output.

The second contract has to do with production of goods for Vostochny space airfield as well. The first set of tanks and vessels for kerosene and naphthyl storage was made and shipped in January and February 2014. The equipment has already been installed in the designated spots. Production of reinforcement units with electric installations, measuring and recording apparatus, and compressed air control is the next stage of the contract implementation. This is to be completed by May 2015. The shipment of the next set of goods is planned for November 2014. Experts from Nizhniy Tagil enterprise are also responsible for the assembly and start-up and commissioning jobs.
