May 27, 2015. Uralcryomash (a member enterprise of Uralvagonzavod Corporation) manufactured and shipped equipment for the refueling station at Vostochny space launch site.

According to the corporation’s press service, this state contract on the production of a launch set and other units for Soyuz 2 is backed up by the Russian Federation Government’s special provision.

‘Uralcryomash designers are currently doing all the assembly supervision jobs: these have to be completed by May 30. Their job is then to ensure start-up and commissioning through September 30. This stage will be followed by multi-faceted tests with the use of the rocket launcher. There is already a team of the plant designers working at the site; twice or thrice as many more designers will be sent there to fulfill all these tasks,’ the press service says.

The plant is also manufacturing containers for transportation of space fuel components (oxygen, nitrogen, and argon). Last year, tank container 15-558S-04 was designed by order of Roscosmos to transport and store liquefied gases. Now Uralcryomash needs to deliver 20 such tanks to Vostochny by June 30, 2015. Over a half of the necessary containers have already been made and, according to the managements, these will be delivered onto the site in time.
