The tournament was held in Noyabrsk, Khanty-Mansiysky Autonomous Region, on September 6-7. This year, the championship was given the status of a qualification-based selection of sports players for the Rio de Janeiro Olympics 2016. Teams from fifteen different countries took part in the tournament.

The sportsman from Nizhniy Tagil competed as part of the Russian national youth team and won the first prize in the under-94 kg weight category. His result was 373 kg (170 kg/dashing and 203 kg/pushing).

Yegor won two gold medals for the dashing part of the lifting and a silver medal for the pushing one.

‘It’s worth noting that this is actually the second time the sportsman has won a gold medal. In 2012, Komarov won the first prize at a prestigious international sports forum in Saint Petersburg,’ Uralvagonzavod Corporation’s press service says.
