February 6, 2013. The Ural Federal District Women Boxing Championship started at Uralvagonzavod Scientific & Production Corporation’s Sputnik sports arena. Women and girls are competing for the World’s Professional Boxing Champion Natalia Ragozina Prize. Uralvagonzavod Scientific & Production Corporation acts as the event’s primary sponsor and Sputnik Sports Club is coordinating the championship, the company’s press service reports.

The tournament is being held at Natalia Ragozina’s initiative; Ms Ragozina is one of Sputnik’s most recognized alumni with the greatest number of prizes. Master of Spots, she won 22 out of 22 professional boxing matches, knocking the other party out in 13 cases. ‘Miss Sledgehammer’ first started taking part in contests when Russia’s Honored Coach Alexander S. Malyshev was her guru. Natalia feels Nizhniy Tagil is her home town and is always proud to talk about her town and the club where her breath-taking career took off.

‘This is an important event in my life,’ the famous sportswoman said when opening the championship during the round of applause.

‘This is the first time I am at the ring as the guest speaker, and I am very nervous. My career started at this place in Nizhniy Tagil: I was an athlete at first and then turned to boxing. This is my home town, and I should be here!’ Ragozina said.
