1,000 Uralvagonzavod Workers Take Part in Russian Ski Track 2013

February 12, 2013. Over a thousand workers from Uralvagonzavod Scientific & Production Corporation’s head plant joined the start of the traditional Ural Ski Race that was part of the 31st Open All-Russian Ski Track 2013 Race. Sputnik, a sports club, was presented by a team of professional sports players, Uralvagonzavod Scientific & Production Corporation’s press service says.

Every year, the employees of Uralvagonzavod take part in the race which, as Sverdlovsk Region Prime Minister Denis Pasler says, is a very big event; moreover, the race attracts more and more participants every year. Uralvagonzavod’s team comprised not only the grassroots workers from all the structural divisions but also heads of the company and its long-service employees.

‘The Larionovs were awarded a prize in the category of Nizhniy Tagil’s Most Sportive Families. Igor N Larionov is an electrician at Uralvagonzavod Scientific & Production Corporation’s ski resort and a sub-master sportsman in ski racing. Olga P. Larionov is a teacher who is also very keen on sport. Their daughter Tatiana is a professional skier, while their son Dmitri is a sub-master sportsman in ski racing, and even their grandson Danil is a skier,’ the corporation reports.

Sputnik Sports Club alumna Elena Zubova won in the ten-kilometer race for female skiers. She is a a sub-master sportswoman in ski racing, the Sverdlovsk Region Championship winner, and a participant of the All-Russian skiing competitions.

All those who took part in Russian Ski Track 2013 and their supporters could enjoy the opportunity to socialize and watch a concert called Go Russia! The town’s best bands such as Gulay Pole and Russkaya Pesnya from Uralvagonzavod’s Palace of Culture created the right atmosphere for the event.
