January 23, 2014. Six departmental divisions of Uralvagonzavod (one in each production segment) were awarded the honorary title of Uralvagonzavod Golden Primary Youth Organization in 2013.

According to Uralvagonzavod Scientific & Production Corporation’s press service, there are currently 102 primary youth organizations within the company which unite over 7,000 young employees. All in all, the enterprise employs nearly 13,000 people under 35 years of age.

‘Given that the youth organizations aim at team-building and keeping the young plant workers socially active, the review covered a few aspects of the organizations’ activity. First of all, this was taking part in the events happening at the department, including organization of professional skills contests. Joining seminars, cultural, and sports events was another criterion. Then, support of local schools and orphanages was taken into account, as was much else besides,’ the corporation reports.

In 2013, the title of Uralvagonzavod Golden Primary Youth Organization was awarded to workers from the mechanical assembly division’s painting department, from foundry department 7, from the carriage assembly department, from the tool-making department, from the electrical repair shop, and from the Technological Institute – a part of the corporation’s head plant.
