Uralvagonzavod Corporation’s youth club celebrates 15th anniversary

July 2, 2014. Uralvagonzavod Scientific & Production Corporation’s youth club celebrated its 15th ‘birthday’ on the Russian Youth Day, the corporation’s press service reports.

The jubilee concert organized for the occasion gathered together the most active and labor-loving young people at I.V. Okunev Palace of Culture. Uralvagonzavod Corporation’s youth club has remained the leader for many years and is still one of the largest youth organizations in Russia. The corporation employs 12,392 workers under 35 at the moment, of whom 7,143 people are youth club members.

‘Over these fifteen years, the company youth club’s actions have proven that this one of the leading youth policies organization in town, in Sverdlovsk Region, and in Russia. On this special day, let me thank all those who started the corporation’s youth policy movement and keeps working on it now. Many thanks to the administration of Uralvagonzavod Corporation, to the town council, and to our district administration for your support and for our cooperation in the field of youth policies development within the corporation and in the town of Nizhniy Tagil,’ says the club’s chairman Alexei Gilmutdinov.

On this day, 38 young workers were awarded the Director-General’s honorary certificate and 24 employees were given honorary certificates issued by their trade union and their youth organization. The honorary certificate issued by Mayor of Nizhniy Tagil was awarded to six activists of Uralvagonzavod Corporation’s youth club. The plant’s chief welder was given the honorary certificate issued by Managing Director of Sverdlovsk Region Mining Management District. What is more, a thank-you letter from the Managing Director of Sverdlovsk Region Mining Management District was given to an employee from the plant’s tool-making division.
