Uralvagonzavod delegates visit the All-Russian Blue-Collar Youth Forum

November 22, 2013. The representatives of three of Uralvagonzavod Scientific & Production Corporation's enterprises attended the first All-Russian Blue-Collar Youth Forum in Chelyabinsk. The event was held on November 18-20 and gathered together over 400 young people from 56 enterprises located in 18 parts of Russia. The forum was sponsored by the Federal Youth Policies Agency, the Federation of Russia's Independent Trade Unions, and Chelyabinsk Region Government, the spokesperson for Uralvagonzavod reports.

Uralvagonzavod Corporation was represented by a group of young workers from three of the corporation's member enterprises; these were six employees of Nizhniy Tagil-based Uralvagonzavod, the head of the plant's Youth Council Alexei Gilmutdinov, six employees of Electromachine, and ten workers of Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant headed by the plant's Chair of the Youth Council Elena Melnikova.

'The solemn opening ceremony of the forum took place at Trubodetal. The young workers were welcomed by Chelyabinsk Region Prime Minister Sergey Komyakov and Russian Federation Hero of Labor, turner Konstantin Chumanov. The next day, Governor of Chelyabinsk Region Mikhail Yurevitch wished the forum participants every success in their work; the Governor paid a visit to Chelyabinsk Mechano-Technological Vocational School, where one of the professional skills contests took place,' the corporation's press release says.
