Uralvagonzavod supports Russian female boxing championship in Nizhniy Tagil

March 12, 2014. The final fights and the solemn closing ceremony of Russia's female boxing championship for juniors competing for Natalia Ragozina Prize took place at Uralvagonzavod Scientific & Production Corporation sports club. Natalia Ragozina is the world's absolute boxing champion among professional players and Deserved Master of Sports.

According to Uralvagonzavod Corporation's press service, the second Natalia Ragozina Prize championship in Nizhniy Tagil this year became a high-profile event, rising from the local to the national level.

Throughout the championship, Natalia Ragozina evaluated the contestants' technique and gave out special prizes to the young women on the final day of the competitions. Maria Potorokina was awarded the Artistic Skill, Subtlety, and Gracefulness Prize, Ksenia Sidelina was awarded the Will to Win Prize, Ekaterina Paltseva was awarded the Best Sports Player among Juniors Prize, and Vera Kopeikina was awarded the Best Sports Player among Young Women Prize. The People's Choice Award established by Sverdlovsk Region Boxing Federation went to an alumna of Sputnik Sports Club Elizaveta Nemtseva, whose coach, Alexander Malyshev, was actually Natalia Ragozina's first coach.

Both alumni of Sputnik Sports Club where Natalia Ragozina trained, Kristina Nafasova and Elizaveta Nemtseva, made it to the final tour in the Junior Players category. Candidate Master of Sports and silver prize winner in the Urals boxing championship Kristina Nafasova was given the second place in the featherweight category. Elizaveta Nemtseva defeated her rival from Chelyabinsk Region Lyudmila Orlova in a technical knock-out and thus won Russian Boxing Championship for Juniors and Young Women. She got the main trophy cup of the event.
