November 20, 2012. The fact that the municipal authorities have proved as good as their word in terms of implementing the federal special program for supporting towns with only one primary employer means that Kamensk-Uralsky can get additional funding for working on a pipe cluster on the basis of Sinara Pipe Plant and on other projects targeted at diversifying the town’s economy, Governor Evgeny Kuivashev said at the opening ceremony of the new pipeline in the northern part of Kamensk-Uralsky; the pipeline was put up within the framework of the Sinara Pipe Plant-based pipe cluster project, TMK’s press service reports.
The pipeline across the railways was designed by the pipe manufacturers as early as 2007, but the project had to be delayed because of the economic recession. However, after the federal program for supporting towns with only one primary employer was adopted, Kamensk-Uralsky was allocated funds to set up its pipe cluster and to resume working on the project.
A 426m RUR loan was issued from the budget to build a 65-meter-long and 14-meter-wide bridge.
The launch of the bridge has meant that the village of Severny and the northern industrial node comprising Sinara Pipe Plant and a number of other enterprises are now provided with an infallible transport link.
