TMK, Sinara Top CSR Ranking

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, December 2, 2016. Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK) won several prizes in the national annual Corporate Philanthropy Leaders Contest that was coordinated by Donors’ Forum, PwC, and Vedomosti for the ninth time this year, Sinara Charity Foundation’s press service reports.
For one, TMK was given silver as the Best Education-Promoting Program (co-sponsored by Saint Petersburg State University’s Higher School of Management) for A Place to Stand, a job-counseling project Sinara is implementing together with Sverdlovsk Region-based TMK member enterprises.
The program was set up in 2013 under the aegis of Sinara Charity Foundation and with support from Sverdlovsk Region Union of Industrialists & Entrepreneurs, Sinara Pipe Plant, Seversky Pipe Plant, Ural Locomotives, and education authorities. The goal is to make blue-collar jobs more prestigious and appealing and attract more young people in the production sector. Every year, some 1,500 school-leavers from Kamensk-Uralsky, Polevskoy, and Verkhnyaya Pyshma take part in dozens of job-counseling events.
