Ural Airlines, Amadeus Sign Long-Term Partnership Agreement

Ural Airlines (one of Russia’s top seven air carriers) and Amadeus, the global tourist & air travel industry’s leading technological partner and processing operator, signed a long-term technological partnership agreement that provides for the delivery and launch of a new-generation passenger service system, the airline’s press officer reports.
The step-by-step conversion to Amadeus’s new technological platform will begin in 2013. Under this large-scale cooperation agreement, Ural Airlines will start using a full-scale version of Amadeus Altea platform, including ticket booking modules and accompanying services (Altea Reservation), resource storage and administration (Altea Inventory), and an automated check-in system (Altea Departure Control). With these three Altea modules launched, Ural Airlines will become the first Russian air carrier to use Altea Departure Control automated check-in system.
