20 April 2007 (13:44)

According to Ural Airlines’ spokesperson, the carrier’s passenger turnover amounted to 436,880 passenger-kilometers in the first quarter of 2007, which exceeds the figures for 2006 by 19%. The company’s airplanes performed 2,049 flights and transferred 198,970 passengers, which is 30% better than a year earlier. Things looked quite impressive in March when there was a dramatic 70% rise in the traffic flow and a 9% increase in the passenger turnover on international chartered flights against March 2006.

Both the passenger load factor and the commercial load figures reached some rather nice-looking points (70.5% and 66.3%, respectively). Freight transportation amounted to 137,627 kilograms of mail, 1,056,721 kilograms of various shipments and 47,834 kilograms of excess luggage that had to be paid for.

The airline has been transporting more and more passengers and goods and is planning to make the existing flights more frequent as well as to introduce some new ones, reports the carrier’s spokesperson.
