‘ChelyabEnergoSbyt received the certificate of readiness for the winter season. We have done plenty of work, such as drawing up the schedules for limiting electricity supply for the period when our facilities are normally overloaded,’ Sergey Sukhodoev, Deputy GD of ChelyabEnergoSbyt, the electricity supplier, announced at the press conference of power generating and supplying companies.

‘In case of emergency, our power facilities will decrease their capacity to 967 megawatts, which amounts to 20% of the total regional energy consumption. All the schedules have been approved of by the regional authorities, moreover, we have signed an additional contract for limiting electricity supply in case of overloaded transmission facilities with every industrial consumer we have. Everything has been completed by now and, should anything happen, the joint efforts of our company and of Interregional Network Company of Urals and Volga (our management company) will help us to cope with the problem, and the equipment will operate just fine,’ Mr Sukhodoev said.
