OOO FORES’s Sukhoi Log Branch Fully Complies with Air Pollution & Noise Level Restrictions

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, November 28, 2019. OOO FORES’s Sukhoi Log branch fully complies with the existing air emission and noise level regulations, the company’s press service reports.

‘The impact OOO FORES’s Sukhoi Log Branch made on the local environment in May-October 2019 stayed within the existing hygienic limits. This was the final finding of the production monitoring program the company went through with recently. All the measurements made and samples taken on the border of the plant’s sanitary protection zone and next to the surrounding apartment buildings were made and taken by independent certified labs,’ the press service says.

‘The law requires that any company with any environmental impact should carry out environmental monitoring procedures. It is naturally the customer who pays for the researchers’ work. However, these are the labs themselves that are solely responsible for the accuracy of their findings. They submit their protocols and reports to both the customer company and to the special government body that could actually annul their license if things aren’t done properly. This kind of control ensures the labs’ independence,’ says Senior Environmental Expert at FORES Tatiana Sarapultseva.

1,900 air samples were taken in the last six months; the analysis of the samples made it clear that the concentration of dust and a dozen other substances was well below the maximum permissible discharge limit. The plant’s tech equipment had been working as usual all the while.

‘The noise levels also stayed within the required limits both during the day and at nighttime,’ FORES’s press service reports.
