UrBC, Yekaterinburg, September 10, 2019. OOO FORES’s Asbest branch keeps working on its environmental monitoring program, the company’s press service reports.

‘The quality of air within the sanitary protection area of FORES’s Asbest subsidiary stayed within the existing environmental requirements on August 20-31, the findings of a research the local branch of Sverdlovsk Region Center for Hygiene & Epidemiology carried out in Asbest and Beloyarsky indicate. The branch’s certified lab took air samples next to 31 Novaya St, next to Yablonka collective gardening community, and next to the highway to the southwest of the plant’s premises throughout the day (from early morning till late at night) for four days in a row,’ the press service says.

The analysis of the air samples made it clear that the dust, nitrogen oxide, iron oxide, manganese, chrome, and formaldehyde content within the air remained considerably below maximum permissible discharge limits these four days of testing.

A similar research carried out by the Ural Regional Certification & Attestation Center’s lab proved that the dust, soot, and mineral oil content in the air next to the plant also met the existing normative requirements.
