UrBC, Yekaterinburg, July 18, 2019. ChelPipe Group’s warehouse is going to supply some 5,000,000 kg of pipes for heating infrastructure repairs in time for the next heating season, the company’s press service reports.

Pipes made at the Group’s member enterprises Chelyabinsk Pipe Rolling Plant (ChelPipe) and Pervouralsk New Pipe Plant (PNTZ) will be used in the summer repair campaigns of Russia’s largest energy companies, including Siberian Generating Company (SibGenCo), TeploEnergo, T-Plus, Bashkir Generation Company, and Moscow United Energy Company (MOEK).

ChelPipe Group’s warehouse started shipping its weld-less, hot-deformed pipes (diameter: 45 mm to 426 mm) and large-diameter pipes (diameter: 530 mm to 1,220 mm) to customers in need of pipeline repairs as early as January. The energy companies are already using the Group’s produce to restore heating mains in Novokuznetsk, Sterlitamak, Nizhniy Novgorod, Saratov, Ulyanovsk, and other Russian towns.

‘The Group sees supplying pipes for the country’s fuel and energy complex as one of its priorities. 500 to 600 km of heating mains and water supply pipes get replaced in Russia every year, and ChelPipe Group’s warehouse is one of the primary suppliers of the produce needed for replacements. 180 km of heating mains (around 33% of repaired pipelines) will get reconstructed with ChelPipe Group’s produce this year alone,’ says the warehouse director Alexei Smirnov.
