ChelPipe Group Supplies Pipes to Amurskaya Heat & Power Plant

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, September 25, 2019. ChelPipe Group supplied a set of pipes meant for the construction of natural gas and water pipelines to Amurskaya Heat & Power Plant. The pipes got manufactured at the Group’s Chelyabinsk Pipe Rolling Plant and Pervouralsk New Pipe Plant.
According to the Group’s press service, the heat and power plant placed an order for 2,500,000 kg of weld-less and welded pipes. The smaller pipes (diameter: 108 mm to 720 mm) will be used to put up a circulating water main; the bigger ones (diameter: 720 mm to 1,220 mm) with a three-layer, corrosion-resistant outer coating will be used to put up a pipeline that will connect Amurskaya with the Power of Siberia Pipeline.

The 160-megawatt-strong Amurskaya Heat & Power Plant will be in charge of supplying electric power and heat to Gazprom’s gas-processing plant Amurskiy Gpz. Amurskiy Gpz is meant to become Russia’s largest as well as one of the world’s biggest gas-processing enterprises. The plant will function as a key link in the the chain to ensure supply of natural gas to China via the Power of Siberia; ChelPipe Group has already produced and delivered over 30,000,000 kg of pipes for this major pipeline project.
