UrBC, Yekaterinburg, February 14, 2019. ChelPipe Group’s pipe-manufacturing member enterprises Chelyabinsk Pipe Rolling Plant and Pervouralsk New Pipe Plant sold 1,920,000,000 kg of pipes to their customers last year, which was 3.6% less than in the year 2017, the Group’s press service reports.

‘The slight drop in sales has to do with the fact that we’d completed all of our shipments of large-diameter pipes to Nord Stream 2,’ the Group explains.

ChelPipe Group’s Russian market sales rose by 1.2% in 2018 and came to 1,420,000,000 kg. The company shipped 430,700,000 LDPs to customers in January-December 2018 (+12%), as well as 319,500,000 kg of pumping and compression pipes (+14%) and 465,200,000 kg weld-less hot-rolled line pipes and industrial pipes (-12%). The Group’s OCTG sales to Russia-based customers amounted to 405,000,000 kg (up 9.2% on a year earlier). The shipments to customers of pipes with premium threaded joints soared by 50%, mainly through sales of last-generation ChelPipe Prime types.

The Group contributed to all of the major Russian oil and gas projects, with most of the produce supplied to Gryazovets-Slavyanskaya section of the North European Gas Pipeline.
