UrBC, Yekaterinburg, March 29, 2019. EVRAZ Holding’s Raspadskaya Coal Company’s Raspadskaya Mine has produced 2,000,000,000 kg of coal since the start of the year, the company’s press service reports.

‘Our miners are raising their output by the year: in 2018, they only got to the 2,000,000,000-kg threshold in April,’ the press service says.

Three mining and six developing sections were behind this year’s production figures. Alexei Ivanov’s team (Section 17) produced the most: 718,000,000 kg of coal. Rustam Muminov’s team (Section 1) produced 656,000,000 kg; and Stanislav Kovtunets’s team (Section 10) produced 403,000,000 kg of coal. The rest of the coal got produced by the developing sections’ teams, who both work on the long-face and extract coal as they go.

Alexei Ivanov’s team will soon complete all the extracting work in Long-Face 5а-7-32 с (estimated reserves: 3,000,000,000+ kg of coal), will get to reassembling the equipment in the new mine section in May, and will move on to Long-Face 5а-7-34 in September. The latter long-face is currently being worked on by Developing Section 7.

Raspadksaya Mine produces valuable GZh coal and expects its output to reach 6,500,000,000 kg this year. Once it gets processed at Raspadskaya Processing Plant, the coal gets delivered to metallurgical and coke-chemical enterprises in Russia, Ukraine, and Southeast Asia.
