MegaFon Ural’s Business Customers’ Online Traffic Increases 1.5 Times

4 March 2019 (09:33)

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, March 4, 2019. According to MegaFon, the amount of online traffic its Urals-based business customers used in the last three months increased by 1.5 times; also, increasingly more users choose the speediest option of the 4G network, the telecom company’s press service reports.

Companies operating in Yugra and Yamal are currently the top Internet traffic consumers; companies operating in Sverdlovsk Region are the third largest traffic market in Ural Federal District.

St. Valentine’s Day proved the busiest online communication day in February: MegaFon’s Internet workload (as far as businesses and business owners operating in the Urals were concerned) was at its highest on February 14. Users downloaded/uploaded the amount of data comparable with one million copies of Vogue magazine’s online version on that day.

Mobile voice calls also remain a popular service on the b2b market. Companies operating in the northern parts of Ural Federal District prove the most active users here as well: these are these businesses that spend the longest talking on the phone. Businesses operating in Chelyabinsk Region and Sverdlovsk Region come next in the rating. All in all, MegaFon Ural registered the largest amount of voice calls by business customers on February 19 this winter.

Compared with the winter of 2017-2018, customers in the b2b sector appear to have fallen out of love with texting: the overall number of text messages dropped by 14%. February 23, however, was a very spectacular highlight that was marked by a deluge of text messages sent as congratulations on Defender of the Fatherland’s Day.
