MegaFon: Construction, Sales Need Internet the Most
3 November 2016 (14:26)
UrBC, Yekaterinburg, November 3, 2016. The telecommunications provider MegaFon came up with a list of Ural Federal District-based businesses that spend the longest time periods on the phone and online, the company press service reports.
‘This year, local companies used 70% more Internet traffic than one year previously, while the amount of phone conversations within MegaFon network rose by 28%. Interestingly, these are the small, medium, and micro enterprises that use up the lion’s share of our entire Internet traffic,’ says MegaFon Ural Corporates Development Director Evgeny Ivanov.
The company looked into their business customers’ mobile behavior in ten different constituencies in the Greater Urals. It appears that over 70% of calls and online sessions made in Sverdlovsk and Chelyabinsk Regions get made by employees and owners of shops and trading businesses, who upload the largest bits of data. In Perm Territory, these were also people in the trade sector who rely on the Internet the most, whereas the largest amount of phone calls are made by subscribers in the petrochemical industry.
