UrBC, Yekaterinburg, February 18, 2019. Federal Grid Company United Energy Systems is putting up new supports for the electric mains involved in Beloyarskaya Nuclear Power Plant’s power transfer system.

‘The supports are getting replaced at a marshy section of our 220-kilowatt Beloyarskaya-Mramornaya Main following a diagnostic examination of the power facility. The renovation is expected to make the power transfer from the nuclear plant to Sverdlovsk Region and Chelyabinsk Region’s power grids even more reliable,’ says FGC UES Ural PR & Media Group.

The company is replacing the old, unreliable supports with the new-generation two-sectional ones. This new support type is much cheaper and faster to install, the last factor being particularly important when working in a marshy spot in cold weather.

This 220-kilowatt Beloyarskaya-Mramornaya Main is 142 km long, runs through Sverdlovsk Region and Chelyabinsk Region, and supplies electric power to 220-kilowatt Mramornaya Power Substation.
