UrBC, Yekaterinburg, August 1, 2017. Rosset’s Federal Grid Company United Energy Systems (FGC UES) had the 500-kilowatt electric main connecting Votkinskaya Power Station and Yemelino Power Substation repaired recently.

According to the company press service, the goal is to make power supply to Sverdlovsk Region’s and Perm Territory’s industrial enterprises more reliable.

‘The main is located in a poorly accessible spot on marshy ground. Our power engineers replaced forty guy-wires and pulled down thirty-six trees that could fall down and obstruct the main. This year, 270 faulty guy-wires will get replaced at Sverdlovsk Region’s mains before the end of December altogether,’ the press service says.

The 340-kilometer-long, 500-kilowatt Votkinskaya Power Station-Yemelino Power Substation was first launched in 1962.
