UrBC, Yekaterinburg, February 6, 2019. According to MegaFon, companies operating in the Urals are now focusing more closely on mobile device security: the number of businesses that had their devices scanned with MegaFon’s anti-hacker app rose by 57% this year so far compared with lsat year, the company’s press service reports.
‘Nearly 2,700 corporate mobile devices got scanned with our Antivzlom App in the last month alone. Every one in two appliances is registered in Sverdlovsk Region. A user definitely needs virus protection, but some smartphone-friendly antivirus software is no longer enough. Our app has a wider range of scanning/treatment options that a regular antivirus program,’ says MegaFon Ural’s Corporates Development Director Inna Smirnova.
According to the latest survey results, 58% of local employees rely on their own mobile devices to read work emails and process their company’s confidential data. Remarkably, only 40% are aware of and comply with their employers’ mobile device security policy.
MegaFon’s telecom experts suggest that businesses protect themselves against mobile threats, viruses, and phishing software with their app. The app can protect a business against money and commercially sensitive data theft in case someone tries to get unauthorized access to your online traffic.
The app is available to all of MegaFon’s business customers either free of charge or for RUB 99 a month, depending on the subscription package.
