UrBC, Magnitogorsk, March 21, 2018. Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK) Senior R&D Center Expert Sergey Denisov is now Engineer of The Year, MMK Information, PR & Advertising Department reports.

‘Sergey Denisov has a PhD in Engineering Sciences and is a highly skilled professional in the field of rolling goods manufacturing. He’s patented 37 inventions and has published over 190 science papers and two monographs. He personally contributed to the development and introduction of a number of technologies at MMK that won gold medals at high-profile international exhibitions,’ the Departments says.

Sergey Denisov has won numerous awards, including the highest ones, before. In 2015, Denisov won the Russian Federation Government’s Science & Technology Prize for the development and launch of a resource-saving technology for making highly efficient, economically alloyed, heavy-duty steels with enhanced cold-resistant and durability properties. These steels are meant for making quarry vehicles and mining equipment.

Denisov also concentrates on promoting improvement proposals culture at the plant and on supporting inventors. He makes every effort to encourage workers to get creative in the engineering field.
