UrBC, Yekaterinburg, January 12, 2018. EVRAZ Holding’s Nizhniy Tagil Integrated Metallurgical Works (NTMK) directed RUR 2m to new interactive robotics appliances for Nizhniy Tagil’s kindergartens. EVRAZ Holding Ural’s Corporate Relations Center reports.

‘135 equipment sets got distributed among the thirty-four kindergartens EVRAZ NTMK supports. The equipment is meant to help with the plant’s early-on job counseling program (A Schoolchild Today, A Metallurgist Tomorrow) and ignite the young children’s interest in information technologies and engineering jobs,’ the Center says.

The interactive equipment sets include put-together sets (Machine Inventor and Dreamer), a sensor kiosk, LEGO sets, a developmental game environment (Job Navigator), a number of magnet sets, digital microscopes, Lego Puzzles, and RoboKids with a programmable robotics unit.

‘EVRAZ NTMK has been helping us with children’s skills development for many years now. The sets combine the game and the research components nicely. They help our kids learn about the basics of how mechanisms and electronic appliances work and improve their analytical skills,’ says Director of Radost Kindergartens Elena Gorodilova.
