EVRAZ Proves Sverdlovsk Oblast’s No.1 Charity Donor

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, December 22, 2017. EVRAZ Holding’s Nizhniy Tagil Integrated Metallurgical Works (NTMK) proved Sverdlovsk Oblast’s largest charity donor among ferrous metallurgical enterprises, EVRAZ Holding Ural’s press service reports.
EVRAZ Kachkanar Ore Mining & Processing Enterprise (KGOK) was also among the largest donors in the mining sector. This year, the company directed over RUR 1.6m to charity and social projects in the Urals. NTMK also proved one of the most prolific benefactors in Nizhniy Tagil.
‘EVRAZ Holding supports educational, culture, and healthcare establishments in the Urals. The company has been coordinating a special social program for rehabilitation of children with infantile cerebral palsy since 2007, buying medical equipment, setting up sensory rooms and rehabilitation labs in Nizhniy Tagil and Kachkanar,’ the press service says.
EVRAZ has also been supporting Nizhniy Tagil and Kachkanar schools for many years and funding their supplies. 25 labs and classrooms got remodeled and renovated at these schools in the last three years; additionally, access ramps were introduced there for people with disabilities. EVRAZ NTMK also helps thirty local kindergartens as well as a number of higher and vocational education establishments. For one, eighteen new blue-collar job labs were set up for students of metallurgy over the last few years.
