Beloyarskaya Power Station Reaches Year’s Target Output

1 December 2017 (14:46)

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, December 1, 2017. Beloyarskaya Nuclear Power Station produced this year’s target amount of electric power ahead of schedule. The target output figures were initially set forth by the Federal Antimonopoly Service, the station’s press service reports.

Beloyarskaya Station produced 9,470m kilowatt-hours as of November 27, 2017. This was possible thanks to efficient use of power-generating units and the reorganization of the station’s equipment repair campaigns.

‘The next goal is to reach the target output set for us by Rosenergoatom for the year 2017, that is, 9,553m kilowatt-hours. The ambitious upper limit is 9,849m kilowatt-hours,’ the press service says.

Beloyarskaya Nuclear Power Station currently operates two power-generating units with fast-fission reactor BN 600 (launched in 1980) and BN 800 (launched in 2015). These are the world’s largest fast-fission reactor power-generating units; they are also among the world’s safest and the most reliable ones as well.
