January 17, 2014. In 2013, power generating unit 3 (operating via BN 600 reactor) at Beloyarskaya Nuclear Power Station produced more than 4,120,294,000 kilowatt-hours of electric power, the station's Information & PR Department reports.

Speeding up all the jobs realting to the consturction of power generating unit 4 with BN 800 reactor was the station's other important achievement last year. These jobs included filling the primary and secondary storage tanks with sodium, installing electric current supply at Kurchatovskaya power substation, providing electricity supply for the power generating unit's own needs, the assembly of core internals and of the vent pipes within the reactor section, the completion of the power canal, and getting the diesel-generator units fully ready. The power generating unit site is now guarded by the Russian Federation Internal Troops. By the end of the year, the first stage of the actual launch of the BN 800 reactor was actually embarked on and included the heating up of the reactor and filling it with liquid metal coolant (that is, sodium).
