ChTPZ Group Elects New DG

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, October 17, 2017. Rimera’s Boris Kovalenkov got elected Director-General of ChTPZ Group’s pipe-manufacturing division; the decision was taken at the Group’s Board of Directors meeting today.

According to the company press service, Kovalenkov enters office on October 16, 2017 and will be in charge of operational management of the company’s pipe-manufacturing facilities, business efficiency, improvements in the division’s financial and production performance, and sales market expansion. Former DG Alexander Grubman decided to leave the Group once his contract has expired.

‘On behalf of ChTPZ Group, Chair of the BOD Andrei Komarov thanked Alexander Grubman for his work and wished him every success in the future. Boris Kovalenkov has worked at the company since 2008 and has plenty of managerial experience. He was behind many of the company’s successful projects from creating scrap metal collecting and recycling facility to setting up one of the country’s largest pipe retail sales network to establishing reliable, long-term partnerships with the Group’s key customers,’ the press service says.

Kovalenkov was born in Stary Oskol in 1973. He graduated from Moscow Steel & Alloy Institute with a major in Ferrous Metallurgy. He also completed the Russian Presidential Academy’s Business & Business Administration’s Executive MBA program. Kovalenkov joined ChTPZ Group in 2008 as META Invest’s Managing Director. He then worked as the Group’s CFO in 2010-2015. He was elected Rimera’s Director-General in 2016.
