MMK Hosts 11th Rolled Goods Makers’ Congress

UrBC, Magnitogorsk, October 10, 2017. Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK) is currently hosting the 11th Rolled Goods Makers’ Congress, MMK Information & PR Department reports.

Around 250 experts from Russia, the CIS member states, and abroad will take part in the event all in all.

‘The congress will hold through October 11; the event gets organized by the Rolled Goods Makers Union Interregional Organization and Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works. The goal is to look at the rolled goods makers’, pipe manufacturers’, and metal goods producers’ development prospects and discuss quality improvements, making our produce more competitive, cadre training, mutually beneficial cooperation, and experience sharing,’ the Department says.

The forum will be attended by top managers and white-collar experts from metallurgical, pipe-making, and metal goods-making enterprises and representatives of colleges, research institutes, equipment manufacturers, and metal goods consumers — some 250 people altogether.

In addition to plenary session reports, the congress will comprise a number of section discussions. Scores of reports have been announced already, broken down by seven different sections.

This isn’t the first time MMK is hosting an event like this. The very first Congress was held in Magnitogorsk in September 1995, the 4th Congress was held at MMK in 2001, and the 8th one in 2010. Visitors to the forum can take a tour of MMK production site; moreover, some of the sections will be held directly at the plant’s production departments.
