Tominsky’s Alleged Attacker Detained

UrBC, Chelyabinsk, September 13, 2017. A number of unidentified offenders entered the private premises of Russian Copper Company’s Tominsky Ore Mining & Processing Enterprise in Sosnovsky District, Chelyabinsk Region, around 1 AM on September 11, 2017, the company press service reports.
Using a bottle filled with incendiary oil on a pile of timber, these people conducted an arson attack, causing a fire that could have turned into a serious forest fire emergency.
Law-enforcement officers arrived at the scene of the crime and detained one of the perpetrators, who had an entrenching shovel and a knife with him. According to witnesses, the detainee offered some armed resistance to the police.
Russian Copper Company’s security workers inspected the site and found a number of sticks with nails driven into them, placed there with the purpose of obstructing movement, as well as two banners with threats written on them.
