UrBC, Yekaterinburg, May 20, 2016. Russian Copper Company is now looking for more ways and technological solutions to improve its Tominsky Ore Mining & Processing Enterprise Project in Chelyabinsk Region. This means that the construction isn’t likely to begin any time before 2017, the company press service reports.
‘This year so far has been dedicated to informing the general public about the actual nature of the project. As we are fully aware of the locals’ concerns relating to the construction of a large-scale industrial facility in the area, the company has carried out a special campaign to allay their fears,’ the press service says.
For one, a hotline was set up to provide Chelyabinsk Region’s natives with answers to all of their questions. Then, an ad hoc website was launched on Tominsky, and Russian Copper Company’s management also coordinated a guided tour of its Mikheyevsky Ore Mining & Processing Enterprise for the constituency’s top officials: over fifty representatives of Chelyabinsk Region’s legislative and executive branches and members of the local public could see for themselves what a modern mining and processing business looks like.
