EVRAZ NTMK Engineer Wins Glory to The Man of Labor Award

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, April 21, 2017. EVRAZ Nizhniy Tagil Integrated Metallurgical Works (NTMK) IT Directorate’s Senior Electric Equipment Engineer Alexei Raymov won the third prize in Glory to The Man of Labor, a professional skills contest coordinated in Ural Federal District. Raymov won in Mechatronics, the company press service reports.
As part of his contest challenges, Raymov had to assemble, program, and launch a hydraulic pressure station meant for cylinder actuator control. The contestant completed all the wiring jobs and created the necessary programs. The unit was working perfectly in both automated and manually controlled modes.
‘Alexei Raymov has been working at the plant for over fifteen years now. He is in charge of operation and maintenance of and performance improvements in the automated CC machines at our oxygen converter department,’ the press service says.
Besides, the plant’s Head of Steel-Smelting Department’s Automated Control Systems Division Evgeny Kravchenko took part in the contest as an invited expert. He was on the judges’ panel and evaluated the contest participants’ performance.
