EVRAZ NTMK’s Mechanic, Roll Designer Win Glory to The Man of Labor Award

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, April 15, 2019. Two employees of EVRAZ Nizhny Tagil Metallurgical Plant (EVRAZ NTMK) won the Glory to The Man of Labor awards, EVRAZ’s press service reports.
Roll Designer from EVRAZ NTMK’s Rail & Beam Department Vitaly Rubtsov won silver as Best Engineer/Metallurgical Worker and instrumentation and control equipment mechanic from the plant’s IT Directorate Andrei Orlov won bronze as Best Mechanic.
EVRAZ NTMK’s employees competed with workers from companies based in several constituencies of Ural Federal District. Andrei Orlov’s competition took place in Novy Urengoi. For the practical part of the contest, Orlov had to program a heat calculator unit and set up a controller-operated heat supply unit. Vitaly Rubtsov’s competition took place in Magnitogorsk. Rubtsov had to present a research project on the launch of a new ball-rolling mill for EVRAZ NTMK’s Rail & Beam Department.
‘The two prize-winners are among the plant’s acknowledged premium quality skilled workers. Andrei Orlov has been winning prizes and awards at the plant’s professional skills contests for five years now. Vitaly Rubtsov is one of NTMK’s youngest inventors. He got his first inventor’s patent at twenty-nine, and also submitted a number of improvement proposals that have already been implemented at the plant’s production sites,’ the press service says.
