EVRAZ Holding’s NTMK, KGOK Select Best Young Executives

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, August 30, 2018. EVRAZ Holding’s member enterprises Nizhniy Tagil Integrated Metallurgical Works (NTMK) and Kachkanar Ore Mining & Processing Enterprise (KGOK) coordinated a professional skills contest among their young executives and managers, with over 240 employees taking part.

According to the holding’s press service, the competition started at the beginning of summer. The contestants had to get interviewed by an experts’ panel, prove that they can process both verbal and numerical data efficiently, cope with production challenges, and do some teamwork. The two companies did their selection challenges separately on their respective premises. In the end, nineteen contestants from EVRAZ Holding’s Ural division met in the final round of the competition and presented their business and leadership skills to the judges/experts.

Shift Manager of EVRAZ NTMK’s Oxygen Compressor Department Pavel Vdovin proved the plant’s No.1 young executive; the second prize went to Production Supervisor from NTMK’s Wheel Band Department Dmitri Plesovskikh, and the plant’s Metallurgical Equipment & Furnace Repair Department’s breakdown mechanic Pavel Aydakov got the bronze.

As for EVRAZ KGOK, the gold, silver, and bronze went to the plant’s Crushing Department’s engineer Pavel Dolgikh, the plant’s Rolling Stock Repairs Department’s foreman Sergey Kalsin, and the Mine Management’s Mining Works Department’s Senior Engineer Vyacheslav Martynov, respectively.
