EVRAZ NTMK Welder Wins Glory To The Man of Labor Contest

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, September 16, 2019. Electrical/gas welder at EVRAZ Nizhniy Tagil Integrated Metallurgical Plant (EVRAZ NTMK) Blast Furnace Department Alexander Lozhkov won the Sverdlovsk Region round of Glory to The Man of Labor Contest as Best Welder. Silver went to Sergey Vafin from Seversky Pipe Plant, while Sinara Pipe Plant’s Vladislav Iokhin won the third prize.
According to EVRAZ Holding Ural’s Corporate Communications Center’s PR Department, eleven welders from Sverdlovsk Region’s various industrial enterprises competed in the contest. Welder Andrei Kulikov represented the holding’s member company EVRAZ Kachkanarsky Ore Mining & Processing Enterprise (EVRAZ KGOK).
EVRAZ NTMK Tech Director Pavel Zazhigayev, Sverdlovsk Region’s Industry & Science Ministry officials, and the plant’s trade union representatives all presented their welcome addresses at the start of the competition.
‘I’m assured you always do your best at work and are fully aware of the degree of responsibility you’ve been trusted with. These competitions provide professional skills improvement and experience-sharing opportunities,’ Zazhigayev, said.
The contest was hosted by EVRAZ Holding Ural’s Personnel Training Center in Nizhniy Tagil.
The event gets coordinated with Sverdlovsk Region Government and Governor of Sverdlovsk Region Evgeny Kuivashev’s support. The winners of the local round will go on to take part in the Ural Federal District round of the competition.
