UrBC, Yekaterinburg, December 7, 2016. ChTPZ Group and Rosnano’s joint venture, Chelyabinsk-based ETERNO is now making stamp-welded split tees with the help of nano-technologies; these are meant to serve as import substation products for the oil and gas industry.
According to ChTPZ Group’s press service, the solemn opening ceremony of the production facility was attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin, Russia’s Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov, Rosnano Chair of the Board Anatoly Chubais, and ChTPZ Group shareholders Andrei Komarov and Alexander Fedorov.
With ETERNO’s split tees, oil and gas pipelines can get repaired under working pressure (up to 9.8 MPa) and relaunched without the need to stop the pumping process. Before this product was available, the split tees used to be supplied and installed by foreign manufacturers.
ETERNO plans to make up to 150 new units every year; these will be used at Noviy Urengoy-Surgut and Nord Stream 2 pipelines and for Gazprom’s, Rosneft’s, and CIS-based oil and gas companies’ repair needs.
