26 August 2016 (13:44)

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, August 26, 2016. Sinara Development, the general contractor for the reconstruction of Yekaterinburg Central Stadium (Yekaterinburg Arena) in time for the World Cup 2018, had the concrete frames for the northern and southern spectator stands assembled and installed on site, Sinara Group’s PR Center reports.

The stands are meant to serve as fan sectors in the future. The workers are now busy laying down the brick foundations and installing engineering infrastructure to ensure water supply, sewage, and ventilation. They are also working on foundations for the additional stands that will be made of metal. These metal structures will make it possible to raise the northern and the southern spectator stands to the height of 40m.

In the meantime, concrete/metal structures are installed at the height of nine meters in the primary sectors of the stadium, that is, for the eastern and western spectator stands. Each of these stands will house two sets of standard and visitor seats and VIP boxes. The eastern and the western stands are scheduled to be completed by the end of the year. So far, 73% of all the stand assembly jobs have been done already.
